This is the last week for forest grouse hunters in eastern Oregon
(season closes Nov. 25). That means there is still a few days left
to try to harvest what many think is the tastiest upland game bird
- the ruffed grouse. Look for these birds in mid-elevation riparian
areas and pole thickets.
